Experience
I came into engineering from analysis, which is still how I approach systems: work out what the data is actually telling you before you change anything.

Senior DevOps Engineer
- Led migration of production workloads to EKS with ArgoCD and Helm, replacing bespoke deploy scripting with a GitOps path developers can use without platform involvement.
- Built event-driven autoscaling with KEDA against IAM-authenticated Kafka consumer groups, so consumer lag drives capacity rather than CPU.
- Replaced legacy ingress with Envoy Gateway, consolidating routing and TLS termination behind the Gateway API.
- Own the Terraform estate covering EKS, IAM, KMS, SNS/SQS and supporting AWS services.

DevOps Engineer
- Moved batch and streaming pipelines onto managed AWS services — Lambda, Step Functions, SQS — and brought them under Terraform.
- Introduced GitHub Actions as the standard CI path and cut bespoke per-team pipeline configuration.
- Set up observability with New Relic and Datadog: service-level dashboards and alerting tied to symptoms rather than resource metrics.
2019 — 2020
Sportradar
Analyst
- Worked on data quality and integrity for live sports feeds — the domain knowledge that later made the platform work legible.

Intelligence and police analysis
- Several years in analytical roles: pattern recognition across noisy, incomplete data, and briefing findings to people who had to act on them. Holds SC clearance (reactivatable).
